Jerry Tilitz is is a american trombonist,composer and vocalist from New York City presently residing in Hamburg, Germany. Having originally studied with both Curtis Fuller and Lennie Tristano Jerry has performed and recorded over the years with folks like Gerry Mulligan, Roy Eldridge, Benny Golson, Herb Geller, Al Foster, Tete Montoliu, Adam Nussbaum, Tom Harrell, Horace Parlan, Bill Mays, and Hank Jones to drop a name or ten.

In addition to receiving a grant for composition and performance from the prestigious U.S. National Endowment for the Arts Jerry has taught at Queensboro College and the Rotterdam Conservatory...
